Heated Operating Mat with Control Unit

This Operating Mat houses a digital thermostat, so the user can set the desired temperature and the mat will warm up to, and then maintain, that temperature. The user adjustable range is 10-50 deg C, with a resolution of 0.1 deg C and a differential of approximately +/- 0.5 deg C. There are several advantages to this new design, the most important of which is that if the sensor fails, or the lead becomes detached, the device will go into a fault mode and the element will switch off. The fact that the sensor temperature is constantly displayed is also of great benefit.
